Motorcycle Taster Course

You can book your Motorcycle Taster Course at MX-Academy in 3 different options — from a short introduction to a complete day package with everything included:

The Motorcycle Taster Course includes everything: motorcycle (light beginner bike), complete protective gear (helmet, goggles, boots, knee and elbow protectors, chest protector, gloves, trousers and jersey), personal coach, several tracks and insurance. Complete packages also include intensive coaching. Catering can be added optionally.

The Motorcycle Taster Course with the complete package you spend a full day at MX-Academy — from theory to riding the track on your own. Here is what a typical day looks like:

1. Welcome and theory
   Introduction to motorcycle technique, safety and basic posture. You learn how the motorcycle works, how to start it, brake and hold it in a lean.
2. Putting on protective gear
   The complete beginner gear is fitted — helmet, goggles, boots, knee and elbow protectors, chest protector, gloves, trousers and jersey. All included in the price of your Motorcycle Taster Course included.
3. First rides on the beginner track
   On a light beginner bike you practise throttle, shifting, braking, steering and your first corners. Your coach is with you the whole time.
4. Break
   You exchange experiences with other beginners and take a rest. Catering can be added optionally — it is not included in the complete package.
5. Practice on the MX track
   Now you head onto the real track. You apply the techniques from the morning, ride controlled laps and get to know jumps and whoops — all at your own pace.
6. Coaching block
   Personal 1-to-1 coaching with a pro. Here we work specifically on your weak points — seating position, where to look, braking technique.
7. Final feedback
   Chris Möckli and his team give you personal feedback and tips for the next step. If you want more, the next course is probably already within reach.

In the shorter Motorcycle Taster Course only the riding time on the track is reduced — everything else stays the same: theory, putting on gear, first rides on the beginner track. Full support from the coach is always included.

The Motorcycle Taster Course takes place regularly at MX-Academy in Schlatt TG. In bad weather an alternative date is arranged.
